Autumn Leaves Haiku

 W.A.L.T Write a Haiku

In room 2 we have been learning to write a Haiku, the thing we wrote about Autumn Leaves. Here it is:

Autumn Leaves Haiku

Leaves fall down like snow,

They crunch like a roaring fire,

Hazel leaves falling.

  1. Hi Dakota, I’m Max from NBC.
I really liked your blog post. I liked how you showed us a photo to help people like me know what you are writing about. This brought me back to when I did a Haiku in year 5 or 6 and I’m still doing it now! Why was your class learning about Haiku? Are you doing anything else new?

If you did another Haiku would you change it up?

  2. Hi Dakota, my name is Arnaika and I am from NBC.
I like the way you put in images of the leaves.
My favourite writing is Haiku. What about you?
Next time double check how many syllables you have.
What is your favourite type of writing?

  3. Hi Dakota, My name is Charlotte and I am a student at NBC.
I think this blog post is really cool. I love the pictures you added and the Haiku was really good and had descriptive words. On your second line I saw you added 8 syllables instead of 7, next time you could double check to make sure you have the right amount!
Did you take these photos yourself?
